Tae Kwon Do Programs for Children

Rochester World Tae Kwon DoGrandmaster Jeon’s Tae Kwon Do Center offers classes for children as young as 4 years old. Tae Kwon Do not only encourages discipline, but it promotes self-confidence in a safe and fun learning environment.

Tae Kwon Do challenges children to set goals and reach them through improving listening skills, concentration and perseverance. Each student receives positive reinforcement from the Grandmaster and their fellow students as they reach their goals and each belt, enhancing their sense of accomplishment.

The self-confidence and skills developed through Tae Kwon Do will help your child to:

  • Overcome difficult challenges
    in a positive manner.
  • Resist peer pressure and make
    better choices.
  • Overcome shyness and foster positive relationships among peers.
  • Develop self-control and a sense of cooperation.
  • Set and achieve positive goals.
  • Develop a trait of perseverance and discipline.

Even at the young ages of 4 and 5, students of Tae Kwon Do often start to display positive character traits at home; They may begin listening better, completing chores when told, and they may even be more focused on their studies, resulting in better grades and overall academic performance.

Tae Kwon Do will not only improve your child’s mental focus, self-esteem and self-discipline, but it will improve your child’s physical skills as well. Your child’s overall fitness, flexibility, and hand eye coordination will also improve, which naturally translates into the improvement of other skills in sports and other physical activities.
