Grandmaster Jeon

Rochester World Tae Kwon DoAs a perpetual student of life and Grandmaster of Tae Kwon Do, Grandmaster Soon Ho Jeon has dedicated nearly 45 years of his life to the study of Tae Kwon Do, and 25 of those years as an instructor.

At the ripe age of 11 years old, his parents enrolled him in classes at a famous Dojang (a formal Korean training hall) because he was considered a bit small for his age. He quickly grew to love the art, its structure and its teachings.

While the way of Tae Kwon Do is much more strict in Korea, Grandmaster Jeon brings a balance of discipline and technique to his American style of teaching, instilling the importance of control, confidence and a humble mind in each student.

Grandmaster Jeon has competed in many national tournaments, served in the Korean Army, was a member of a Special Operations unit and served in Viet Nam. His time in service and dedication to the life principles of Tae Kwon Do are woven through his teachings as he shares with students the importance of improving self-confidence, self-esteem, discipline and respect for ones self, others, parents, and our country.
